Winery & Terroir:
BARGYLUS White comes from the family-owned SAADE boutique winery. On the slopes of Mount ANSARYEIH near Latakia, at around 900 m altitude. The vineyards grow on clay, limestone, and flint soils, benefiting from cool mountain breezes and large day-night temperature swings. This terroir provides natural freshness, precise structure, and vibrant minerality to the grapes. I remember tasting the grapes on a crisp morning in the mountains — the cool air and the view of the Mediterranean reminded me why this place produces such
elegant wines.
Tasting Notes & Food Pairing:
This white blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc offers bright aromas of lime, papaya, melon, and white flowers, with a subtle mineral and saline touch. The palate is fresh, lively, and fruit-forward, with well-integrated acidity and a long elegant finish. It pairs beautifully with grilled fish, seafood, light citrusy mezze, or delicate Middle Eastern dishes. Every sip reminds me of that first mountain morning — pure, vibrant, and unforgettable.
